RMG acquires Infomax's Solution DocuAnalyzer

In line with the bank’s overall efforts towards operational efficiency, the Risk Management Group (RMG) has recently completed the acquisition of the DocuAnalyzer from Infomax Solution through a project sign-off held last July 5, 2006.

The DocuAnalyzer is a software that can read a variety of input files such as delimited text, HTML, MS-Excel, MS-Access, dBase, among others, and process data and information into reports forms that can be used by higher management and the board of directors (BOD) in decision making. According to RMG Officer-In-Charge/VP Teresita Cheng, the DocuAnalyzer will greatly lessen the time needed to prepare periodic reports and documents as the software would be able to summarize voluminous data

 
Delos Santos Medical Center implements Medical Records Imaging and Retrieval Solution

For over 30 years De Los Santos Medical Center has been keeping millions of Medical Records. These voluminous documents make it hard for Medical Records section to search for filed patients’ record. Also, doctors need to have the history of the patients who comes back for follow up check-ups, re-confinement, or simply just to have a copy of his medical records.

Infomax Systems, Solutions and Services, Inc. provided complete Document Imaging Solution to De Los Santos Medical Center’ Medical Records Section - InfoCapture © (capture software) and Quickview © (retrieval software). InfoCapture © is the capture software they are using. Patient’s Records are digitized through scanning. With the use of Kodak i40 Scanner, DLSMC can scan the documents with ease. DLSMC’s medical records usually have multiple pages which they can scan in one batch whether front or front and back page in one pass. InfoCapture © has OCR (Optical Character Recognition) which is used in indexing. This automatically captures the pre-printed characters without manual typing. These indices will be the search stricture for retrieval. DLSMC also takes advantage of generating reports from the indices created in InfoCapture ©.


Infomax Launched its Document Imaging Solution

Infomax organized an event that geared to launch its Document Imaging Solution. It was held on 21 st of April 2006 at Dusit Hotel, Makati City and was attended by representatives of companies from different industries.

The launch featured InfoCapture for Capture Software and QuickView for Searching and Viewing. It highlighted the concept of Infomax Document Imaging Solution and its features. Infomax also conducted product demonstration and have set-up stations in the room for the guests to test the product themselves.

Kodak Philippines, an Infomax imaging partner, also took part in giving an overview of what their iSeries scanners can do in speeding up document imaging.

Part of the launch, Infomax raffled off jackets, shirts and bags as minor prizes and 4mega pixels digital camera as major prize courtesy of Kodak.

Infomax Acquires Rights to Resell Security and Rights Management Software from Authentica

Infomax has successfully negotiated the rights to resell Authentica DRM for the Philippine market. ”Document security is one of the key requirements of our customers. Authentica give us the capability to secure Documents even when brought out of the repository.” Says Mr. Joseph Goyanko, President and General Manager of Infomax.

 Authentica provides a security layer beyond the Mobius repository such that documents brought out can be protected by
the customer. Documents such as Acrobat PDF, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel are encrypted with the keys managed by
Authentica. Document access are defined in a profile server which can be dynamically changed by the document owner.

This provides the capability to remove access to sensitive document when an employees changes jobs or leaves the company.

 

 
Infomax
Announces the General Availability of InfoCapture

Infomax proudly announces the GA of their first locally developed product called InfoCapture.

InfoCapture provides the ability to scan, index, verify and export digitized documents. It provides
an optional OCR engine for quick and accurate data entry. Using the OCR feature, users can either manually mark
the index region or specify automatic capture index without operator intervention. Manual OCR are designed for documents with non-fixed index locations while Autocapture can be done for fixed locations.

Exporting and Purging are controlled such that documents must first be Exported before it can be completely deleted from the database.

 For security, InfoCapture provides an Administrator facility to define users and their functions. Users can be given the authority to Scan, Index, Verify, Export, Purge in any combination.

 General Availability is planned for March 30, 2006.

 



  

Micro Focus Conducted a Seminar of Enterprise Server

Micro Focus conducted a seminar on Enterprise Server in Malaysia, Sept. 27. The seminar was attended by business partners from Korea, Taiwan, HongKong, Philippines and Malaysia. The course was conducted by Hilda Oyre a Micro Focus consultant after a successful seminar in India.

Enterprise Server is the next generation Micro Focus server which provides a production environment for COBOL applications. With an optional Mainframe Transaction Option (MTO), it allows the execution of CICS/DB2/IMS DB programs for production. MTO also includes the execution of batch JCL and REXX commands to complete the execution of mainframe environment

ES supports J2EE environment and enables the implementation of SOA Web Services. This give you the ability to enhance your Legacy application to support web browsers without changing your application.

Thus ES/MTO provides an lower cost alternative to mainframe systems.


 


Infomax Closes Largest Kodak Scanner Deal

Infomax in partnership with Kodak recently sold over 1,000 Kodak and HP scanners to a leading bank in the Philippines. This is the largest single order of imaging technology in the Philippines to date. This also indicates the banking sectors focus on productivity and better customer service thru innovative use of imaging technologies. It is a significant move from the initial adoption stage of digitizing for preservations of documents.

Infomax with Kodak as partner are determined to be in the forefront of this technology push. Joseph Goyanko, General Manager of Infomax says, “It is our intention to provide our customers the best solution not just in document capture but also in the storage and retrieval of these documents. To be cost effective and whenever possible, we will provide locally developed software that provides the same functionality at a fraction of the cost of imported software.”

 


Infomax joins TIM on BAIPHIL event
21 to 22 April 2005

Infomax became part of the BAIPHIL (Bankers Institute of the Phils) 23rd National Convention annual event when it joined with Total Information Management (TIM) in Taal Vista Hotel Tagaytay on 21 to 22 April 2005.

BAIPHIL, the association of banks in the Philippines held its event in Taal Vista Tagaytay with this year’s convention theme ‘Effective Risk Management: an Imperative for Good Governance’. Fortunately, Infomax joined the event through TIM who was one of the sponsors of the event. TIM invited Infomax to be part of their booth in distributing brochures and explaining BCD products to participants. Recently TIM partnered with Infomax as one of the resellers of BCD products in the Philippines.

Infomax is now getting partners to resell BCD products. Through partnership, Infomax can tap other companies which are out of reach. Moreover, this is to get bigger slice of the AS400 users in the market place. This partnership promises a great revenue generator for resellers, BCD and Infomax.

 

 


MUG 2005

Last 06 February 2005 Mr. Joseph Goyanko, General Manager of Infomax and two representatives from its customers attended the Mobius Users Group conferring at the InterContinental Dallas in Texas. The weather was in the high teens making us Filipinos shiver although everyone else was just wearing casual wear.

At MUG 2005, attendees had the opportunity to attend over 60 presentations given by Mobius customers and staff. They learned a great deal from the technical how-to sessions, customer case studies and presentations that highlight leading-edge technology. The attendees also had the chance to participate in roundtable discussions with experienced users and gain technical insight from Mobius systems engineers and support staff in the Connections Cafe.

Attending this conference with Joseph were two of Infomax clients from RCBC represented by Mike Ramos and PLDT represented by Gary Calantuan. Mike and Gary were able to see how Mobius clients in the US are using the same products they have to improve efficiency. The insight gained from the conference can be applied to their own applications. Two areas which they found potentially useful was the integration of documents into SAP and improving their business processes thru Mobius WorkflowDirect.

Annual Information Technology Interaction Philippines Conference
25 to 27 November 2004

Infomax sponsored for 4 years in a row the Annual Information Technology Interaction Philippines Conference. This year’s theme is “Innovate, Create,Transform”. Held in Taal Vista Hotel, Tagaytay City last 25 to 27 November 2004.

The conference was participated by eighty (80) member companies from all major industry sectors - banking and finance, insurance, utilities and telecommunications, manufacturing, distribution, retail and government and services. Foreign and local speakers also talked on current issues, new breakthroughs and developments affecting not only the IT Industry but also the general business climate as well.

Kodak partnered with Infomax and showcased their i40 scanner with our Seamless Archiving and Check Imaging solution through Mobius application software. Salient, Micro Focus and BCD products were also presented in our booth space. On the 2nd day of the conference, we raffled off 10 Infomax Polo Shirts and a brand new Kodak CX630 digital camera.



 

 


3rd National eCommerce Congress and Exhibit
18 to 19 November 2004

Infomax participated as vendor/exhibitor on the 3rd National E-Commerce Congress and Exhibit of Philippine Internet Commerce Society (PICS) incorporating the industry’s conference and exhibit with this year’s theme: “Mobile and E-Commerce Meet – The Winning Formula”. Held in Grand Ballroom, Hotel Intercontinental, Makati City last 18 to 19 November 2004.

We presented Direct Archiving through Multimedia Message Service (MMS) using Mobius application software. BCD Products, an Industry Leader of iSeries and iSeries - Web Productivity Tools are also showcased in our exhibit. Infomax gave away Polo Shirts to 5 lucky participants.

Current e-business developments that will help Philippine SMEs to digitize and improve business processes using appropriate technologies available in the market and continuing assistance program on how to make Philippine SMEs globally competitive, enhance productivity, improve profits, acquire better skills, and maximize growth benefits of a digital business environment are discussed on the 2-day conference.

Infomax and Mobius Joint Support Implemented ViewDirect for Sun Solaris in New Zealand
October 2004

With Infomax technical expertise in the field of Total Content Management, Infomax/Mobius joint supoort to implement ed
the mobius products to Sun Enterprise Server in New Zealand last Oct 2004 .The company was an existing Mobius customer using ViewDirect for OS/390, migrated the archive image files(check, statements, etc) to ViewDirect for Solaris base platform. These archive files were made available to a thousands of users using a web browser over their intranet.

Infomax donates Php 100,000 to Gawad Kalinga 777. Oct 2, 2004. Gawad Kalinga celebrates its 1st Year Anniversary at the Fort in Global City. Infomax was honored to be invited as a GK Partner having donated 100,000 pesos or equivalent to two houses.

The event was highlighted by the visit of GMA and his cabinet followed by a concert performed by Gary Valenciano, Martin Nieverra.
