In a hybrid work environment, maintaining organizational "rhythm" takes more than high-speed internet; it calls for intentional connection. At Infomax, our quarterly General Assembly (GA) gives us that space to recharge and realign as a team.

For the first quarter of 2026, the Product & Development Team brought everyone together at Greenbelt 3, Makati for a fun and much-needed break from our usual routines. The goal was simple: step away from our screens and reconnect as people, not just teammates.

Breaking the Ice (and Some Pins)

The day kicked off at the bowling alley, where teams naturally mixed across departments. It wasn’t just about game, it helped build connections beyond chats and emails.

Seeing teammates cheer for strikers (and laugh at gutter balls) reminded us how important these simple moments are. These interactions help build trust and make collaboration smoother back at work.

It was also a great chance to welcome new team members in a more personal way—something virtual calls rarely achieve.

The Great Ticket Chase

Next came the arcade challenges, where things got a little competitive—in a fun way.

Some approached the games strategically, aiming for efficiency and high scores, while others simply enjoyed the moment. It reflected our culture—driven yet balanced, focused on results while still making room for fun.

Lunch, Laurels, and Legwork

Over lunch, we celebrated our March birthday celebrants with a surprise that created a shared moment. Moments like these remind us that beyond work, we’re a team that genuinely cares.

We also recognized our "Arcade Royalty"— those who excelled in the day’s challenges—mirroring our company culture of acknowledging high achievers and milestones.

The 30-Minute Sprint

The decision to include a "30-minute" of unlimited play was a deliberate move to encourage agility and "thinking on your feet." As we navigated the final games of the day, the energy was a testament to the benefits of a well-timed mental reset.

The Takeaway: Staying "Pusong Bata"

The success of this GA goes beyond just playing games. It was a necessary recharge for our mental well-being. Stressful projects and deadlines can make us feel "old", but as the legendary Filipino comedian Michael V. once said:

"Hindi na tayo naglalaro kaya tayo tumatanda. Huwag tayo maging isip-bata, dapat pusong-bata." (We don't grow old because we stop playing; we grow old because we forget how to play. Don't be childish but stay young at heart.)

For Infomax, being "pusong-bata" means maintaining the curiosity, energy, and adaptability required to lead in the IT automation and services industry. We aren't just playing; we are preserving the mental sharpness needed to tackle stressful projects and complex deadlines.

Moving Forward

We return to our remote workstations refreshed, realigned, and more connected than before. The Q1 GA successfully welcomed our new hires, strengthened cross-departmental bonds, and reinforced our shared vision for 2026.

This Q1 gathering reminded us that while we are professionals, we are also a community. We’re returning to our home offices with full hearts, a bit of arcade-induced adrenaline, and a stronger bond than any Wi-Fi signal could provide.

Huge thanks to the Product & Development Team for a legendary Q1 GA! Who’s ready for Q2?
